Warren Miller is at it again for 2011, dropping the 61st film in this epic collection of ski movies. 2011’s Wintervention Tour kicks off in Melbourne on May 25th touring right around Australia.

If (somehow) you’ve never caught a Warren Miller flick then I suggest you start by taking a viewing of Wintervention. We’re certainly looking forward to catching a viewing so we hope to see you there.

Here is the official release from the crew at Warren Miller:

Do you have a skiing or snowboarding problem? Do you always have to take “just one more” run? Do you sneak around your partner to get your powder fix? Will you go to the ends of the earth in search of snow? If you have answered ―yes‖ to any of these questions, it may be time for a Wintervention.

Narrated by skiing icon Jonny Moseley, Warren Miller Entertainment’s 61st film – Warren Miller’sWintervention – features acute cases of classic snow-diction from across the globe. There are the skiers who sail from Argentina to Antarctica searching for some of the last untouched descents on Earth. There are the skiers and riders who venture deep into the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, chasing rumours they overheard in a language they don’t speak; and there are the skiers who tour far into the northern reaches of the Arctic
Circle where they won’t just climb peaks, they’ll get their powder fix at the top of the planet. Featuring everything from terrain parks and lift-accessed fresh to the most exotic settings imaginable, Wintervention is the definitive solution for the snow-obsessed.

Wintervention highlights the most trusted names in ripping – board-certified riders like Chris Davenport, JJ Thomas, Lindsey Vonn and Hugo Harrison – and top young talent in the field – innovators like Andy Mahre, Jossi Wells and Zach Black.

“Our addictions to snow-covered hills and the experiences we have there are actually good for us—in moderation,‖ explains Max Bervy, director and executive producer. ―In a world where the chaotic pace seems to increase daily, it’s the skiers and the snowboarders who actually have it right, guaranteeing they’re never far from clean mountain air, deep powder and the good life lived in the mountains.”

Warren Miller’s Wintervention tours Australia and New Zealand as a limited, high-definition release and stops in more than ten cities, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin. With limited screenings, Warren Miller films attract a cult-like following and mark the official start of winter for sports enthusiasts everywhere. Warren Miller premiers are an experience, a party, and a phenomenon not to be missed. Check out warrenmiller.com.au for tour information, videos, photos, and more!
