Diditsnow.com is a new Snow report website, catering to the Australian and New Zealand market at the moment, with an interesting way of getting its updates.
I asked creator, Nathan Hawkins, a few questions on how it works and the reasons the industry needs it.
What’s it about? Why does the snow community need it?
Did it Snow is a unique site that aims to share the best and latest information on the current snow conditions. The unique bit is that in addition to official reports, the snow reports are also provided by other snow lovers, just like you! People can SMS a report to 0401 046 469 or email it to email@example.com and it will appear on the site immediately (just include the name of the resort somewhere in the message). Cool huh?! Snowboard culture naturally lends itself to a good time. Snowboarders are generally outgoing, friendly people who know how to have a good time. This year the good times are set to continue well into the wee hours of the mornings thanks to a series to on-mountain parties that will feature some of Australia’s hottest DJ and Hip Hop artists to the party people of Mt Buller.
Snowlife caught up with established event organiser Miles Jordan of Broken Panda to discuss the exciting season ahead including an exclusive event release you’ll have to see to believe! Continue reading “Party to the Powder People – with Broken Panda”

There is no doubt we are all guilty of playing our part in the wasteful society we live in. Perhaps in some aspects, it’s the only way our society can function, however for many, this disposable society presents the ultimate opportunity for innovative intervention.
Inventor and passionate Lake Tahoe boarder, Bob Candler, is one these inspirational people. Bob spent over 15 years mastering and revolutionizing waste recycling, to conceive the first snowboard to be made of 100 percent recycled and recyclable material.
After years of being frustrated by the unsustainable fabrication of fibreglass boards and not getting the ride experience, Bob took it upon himself to shake up the industry, and release the Makboard. Continue reading “MAKBOARD – The future is clear”
One of the rad things about snowboarding is that the industry is always changing with new technology and new brands coming onto the scene. Continue reading “I Ride Sideways Interview”
A short time ago Snowlife had the pleasure of catching up with Aussie super talent and Forum boarder Charlie Steinbacher. We found out how he’s been going after his recent stint in rehab following a blown ACL, whats involved in the day to day pressure’s of riding with a commercial brand and the tunes that get him fired up whilst shredding the slopes.
The last 12 months have been a busy time for snowboarding and snowboarders, none particularly more so than Louie Vito. We last spoke with Louie a little over a year ago when he was coming off a successful competitive season. Continue reading “Louie Vito Returns – Snowlife Exclusive”
Freedom and expression are two words that come to mind when I try to define snowboarding. And there aren’t many who can express themselves on a board with more style than French Canadian ripper, Laurent-Nicolas Paquin. Continue reading “Laurent-Nicolas Paquin: The Interview”
