UPDATE 12/03/10 – Torah has picked up WXE Silver in the SuperPipe Finals with a solid score of 95. American rider Kaitlyn Farrington threw down harder though scoring a super impressive 97 to take Gold, while Sophie Rodriguez took bronze. Congrats to all riders! More to come..

Torah Bright has won Australia’s first Olympic Gold in the womens halfpipe at Cypress Mountain earlier this afternoon. After qualifying first, Torah had a shaky start falling on her first run.
Torah Bright is a name synonymous with snowboarding. Over the past decade this Aussie from Cooma in Victoria has honed her skills on a board to become recognised as one of the most influential snowboarders of our time.
