I read an article in Australian Snowboarder last year about the influence of skateboarding and surfing on snowboarding. Quite an interesting read and great to see some awesome aussie riders showin their skills in other board sports. I have grown up with a skateboard and not a week goes by that i dont get out for a roll. I wish it could be more..

but I thought it would be interesting to see how many people have not come from a boarding background??

If you didnt grow up in the hills and you didnt ride a board, what was it that got you motivated to try snowboarding?!

Im absolutely hooked on snowboarding im even going to japan for a month to board over there and i only picked up the sport last season,

i have grown up watching the sport on tv,news and reading some mags and have always been inspired to give it a try, now that i have i cant believe what i have been missing out on its awesome.
