The Perfect Storm Dumps on The Sierra

A week or so back a massive storm hit The Sierra on the west coast of the US reportedly dumping up to 8 feet of snow on upper elevations. Transworld worded up their photo contributors from North Lake Tahoe, over to South Lake, and Mammoth and pulled together this photo evidence to get yourself stoked. Awesome August keeps firing

August, which has been dubbed ‘Awesome August’ by many snow goers, is continuing to provide fantastic fresh falls which we haven’t seen for a number of years. All of the main ski resorts across Victoria and New South Wales are recording major snow falls which is now proving critical to the success of the 2010 season. Hotham reports best August falls since 04′

The lunacy of weather has continued in all sense of the word this week with Mt Hotham recording 35cm in the last 7 days and overnight reporting the mountain has seen its best August falls since 2004.

Powder Central, Today at Perisher
